 METHODOLOGY OF PHILOSOPHICAL COUNSELING:

When a client approaches a philosophical counselor, we work together to understand the issue, figure out how to solve that particular issue, balance life overall, and gain a perspective on the various dilemmas of life. We refer to Stoic, Indian, and existential philosophy, among others, to see how one can follow wisdom principles in life. Philosophical counseling usually takes 2-4 sessions to complete the analysis, interpretation, and implementation of new strategies.

DIFFERENCE BETWEEN PHILOSOPHICAL COUNSELING AND PSYCHOLOGICAL COUNSELING:

Philosophical counseling practice is educational, while psychological counseling is clinical. Philosophical counseling requires only a few sessions, compared to clinical counseling, which may need a person to be in therapy over many months together. Philosophical counseling is most suitable for people who are willing to discuss, analyze, and implement solutions in their lives rationally. For folks with severe mental health challenges, clinical counseling would be a better option.

FEES AND CHARGES: Affordable

AVAILABILITY OF INSURANCE COVER FOR FEES AND CHARGES:

Insurance does not support this, as it is not a licensed clinical practice. It is an educational practice to teach people how to imbibe philosophies in their daily lives. Although it is a niche practice, it has proven useful for many. It brings life in perspective before one needs psychological counseling.
