The year 2024 was filled with joy, enriching experiences, and notable events. It was an honor to share insights through the following talks:
- Oxford Literary Festival: Delivered a talk on Sapiens and Sthitaprajna in April.
- Oxford University – Asian and Middle Eastern Studies, Language Group: Spoke on Saint Kabir’s Philosophy in June.
- Oxford University Indology Series: Explored the Concept of Sthitaprajna in the Bhagavad-Gita in June.
- Pune International Literary Festival: Presented in December.
Another highlight was the publication of my Hindi book, Sapiens aur Sthitaprajna, under the auspices of the Divinity School, Oxford University. The book’s launch in the presence of Shri Shaunaka Rishi Das, Prof. Gavin Flood, and members of the Oxford Centre for Hindu Studies was a deeply humbling moment. My heartfelt thanks to MB Publishing House for their support. The book is now available on Amazon. Additionally, a Hindi interview about the book is accessible on YouTube: Watch Here.
In December, a pre-loved Marathi book drive was conducted in Pune, collecting nearly 1,000 books. A quarter of these will be donated to the Bodleian Library at Oxford University, with the remaining distributed to libraries, temples, and village schools in and around Pune. This effort was possible thanks to the tireless work of my friends, especially Ms. Dhanashree Abhyankar, and the generosity of the India Institute Fund, which covered shipping costs.
I am also grateful to the India Institute Fund for supporting my December travels to various ashrams and libraries in Maharashtra (Wai, Sajjangad, Pandharpur), Karnataka (Nimbal, Umadi, Inchageri, Nimbargi), and Uttar Pradesh (Vrindavan). These visits will significantly aid my ongoing research endeavors.
Looking ahead, I remain inspired by the meaningful experiences and connections that made 2024 such a remarkable year.
