Thank you, Dr Alex Gath for your thoughtful feedback on the Oxford Bhakti Conference 2026! “I much appreciated being able to attend the first day of the conference on Bhakti and the thought of Gurudev/Professor R.D. Ranade organized by Dr Ashwini Mokashi. I was able to be present in person for the entirety of that very full and rich day (though was obliged to be in London on the following one). There were two in-person presentations which stood out for me – Dr Jitendra Sharma on Ranade’s Mysticism and Neuroscience and Professor Nina Petek on ‘Bhakti between overwhelming Transcendence and Intimate Presence’. The contrast between them is indicative of the wide scope of issues discussed in hugely thought-provoking and boldly inter-disciplinary fashion. And it was hugely illuminating to participate in the immediate in-person discussion following these talks and explore the ramifications. Online presentations addressed  the thinking of Buber, Aurobindo, Ramakrishna and many others. The diversity and resonance of these topics, detailed by scholars of differing backgrounds, was remarkable.
